A Quilted Coat That Covers You From Shoulder to Ankle
Marlowe is a maxi puffer coat that runs almost to the ankle, quilted in wide horizontal channels so the soft padded fill stays put instead of shifting down into the hem. A large padded hood stands up around a high funnel collar, so when the wind gets up you have somewhere to put your face.
The front closes with a zip and then again under a row of silver snap buttons, which is two layers for the wind to get through rather than one. Two welt pockets sit at the sides, the cuffs are plain and padded, and a snap-fastened vent at the lower side lets you walk properly in a coat this long. The cut is oversized on purpose, so a sweater and a dress both fit underneath. Two colours: a soft beige and black.
Sized M to 3XL on the maker's own garment measurements below. This one runs small for its labels: the chest steps by about 6 cm a size and starts closer to the body than the US standard, so take one size up from your usual, and two if you want to layer heavily underneath.
